In the heart of Gjirokastër, the historic city protected by UNESCO, one of Albania’s most energetic and authentic music events was born: Gjirokastra Rocks Festival. Since its first edition in 2021, the festival has brought the spirit of rock and alternative music to life, uniting artists, young audiences, and music lovers from across Albania and Kosovo. Throughout its 6 successful editions, more than 15 artists and bands have performed on its stage, while the festival has welcomed a total audience of around 10,000 attendees.

Today, Gjirokastra Rocks Festival has established itself as a cultural and artistic tradition that blends history, heritage, and contemporary energy. With a strong and growing identity, the festival aims to expand beyond regional borders… Among the iconic stone streets, unique architecture, and magical atmosphere of Gjirokastër, the festival offers a one-of-a-kind experience where rock music meets history and culture.
